Wimborne choristers show their pancake tossing skills
Rowan and Esther Davey got into practice for the virtual pancake event which this year is being organised by Wimborne BID.
Wimborne Minster choristers have been practising tossing pancakes ahead of next week’s virtual event.
Rowan and Esther Davey, son and daughter of Colin Davey, Minster organist and director of choirs and his wife Heather, were pictured by Russell Sach in front of the Minster church in Wimborne Model Town.
The traditional Wimborne Minster Pancake Race has had to be cancelled due to current lockdown regulations.
Anthony Oliver, who usually organises the race along with a small committee said, “We are grateful to the Wimborne BID for coming to the rescue by arranging and sponsoring this year’s race. We hope to be back as normal next year on Shrove Tuesday 1 March for this much enjoyed community event.”
Details of how to take part in the virtual race can be found by contacting the Wimborne BID at: office@wimborne.info.
