Wimborne Minster marks Day of Reflection
Wimborne Minster Church paid tribute to those who have died from Covid-19 over the past year with a service on Zoom.
The Rector of Wimborne Minster the Rev Canon Andrew Rowland lit a candle in the Minster shortly before 12noon on Tuesday 23 March in memory of those who have died from Coronavirus over the past year.
At the same time the Minster Bell was tolled and the rector conducted a short service by Zoom using An Act of Prayer for individuals and households to mark the national Day of Reflection marking the beginning of the first lockdown.
Marie Curie, a charity which supports people with a terminal diagnosis, organised the National Day of Reflection to acknowledge grief and loss over the last year.
