Wimborne Model Town volunteers are completing final maintenance and repairs to the charity attraction before it reopens for the new season on 19 March.
2016 marks the 25th anniversary of the 1950s’ miniature masterpiece being moved and reopened on the King Street site after years of closure and neglect in the 1980s.
Pat Hymers, former chairman and leader of the reopening campaign said, “Who would have thought that 25 years after Roy Castle blew his opening trumpet, we would be celebrating 25 years of silver success with a whole new generation of people.”
The unique attraction is keen to hear from new volunteers who would like to help in the site shop on Sundays during the season.
