Wimborne museum to hold collectable book sale
Collectors, readers, and researchers are invited to a book sale at the Museum of East Dorset in Wimborne on Friday 20 September.
Looking for a new book to read this autumn? Then the second-hand bookshop at the Museum of East Dorset may have something for you.
The museum located on Wimborne’s High Street is holding a collectable book sale later this month and is inviting collectors, readers or anyone researching a particular topic.
There will be an extensive selection of publications, both fiction and non-fiction, from a variety of authors and covering a multitude of subjects. According to the museum, all books in the sale have been valued by an expert and some are very rare editions.
The one-day event will allow the museum to showcase some of the more valuable donated books that the museum has been unable to feature within the bookshop’s usual selection.
All proceeds from the book sale will go towards the running of the museum.
The event will take place on Friday 20 September from 10am–4pm and will be held in the museum’s Garden Room. Entry is free via the Tea Room off Crown Mead. For more information, email books@museumofeastdorset.co.uk.
