The Poppy Appeal will be launched in Wimborne on Saturday 24 October. At 11am a column of historic military vehicles will drive Cllr Shane Bartlett, the Mayor of Wimborne Minster, from Allenbourne School around the town to the Square where he will launch the 2015 appeal, which helps serving and former service men and women.
The military vehicles are owned and maintained by local enthusiasts who are supporting the Poppy Appeal in Wimborne.
A Garden of Remembrance will be set up near the War Memorial on the Minster Green for people to place a Poppy Cross in memory of family and friends.
These will be available in the town.
Remembrance Sunday is 8 November.
