Wimborne to hold an Auction of Promises

The Mayor of Wimborne Minster, Cllr Jeff Hart, is holding an Auction or Promises on Wednesday 18 March at Allenbourn Middle School to raise funds for his chosen charities: Millstream Disabled Theatre Group and a youth project with Dorset Community Action.

Doors will open at 6.30pm, with the auction beginning at 7pm. Admission is free, and guests will be welcomed with a complimentary drink on arrival.

Around 40 lots will be available on the evening, offering a wide variety of experiences and opportunities. Items include jewellery valued at £200, a yachting session, Gold Membership at Canford Sports Centre, a kayak or canoe session for four people, a two-day Bournemouth beach hut hire, a round of golf with a semi-professional, vineyard tour and tasting, tickets to Sculpture by the Lakes in Dorchester, a brewery tour with drinks, Wimborne Town FC hospitality, fishing at Dean’s Court and many more.

The mayor hopes the event will raise at least £1,000 for the charities.
