Wimborne’s Tree Trail continues
The residents of the Dorset town of Wimborne Minster may have noticed that more trees have been springing up.
To celebrate the Queen’s jubilee, the new plantings are part of the Tree Canopy Initiative in 2022. Within easy access of the centre of the town, they allow for the options of short walks, cycles or short drives.
The latest one to be planted was a Syrax Hemsleyinus (Snowbell) at the junction of St John’s Hill and Cranfield Avenue and wielding the spade was the chairman of Wimborne Town Council’s Recreation & Leisure Committee, Cllr Shane Bartlett.

Eventually 10 trees will have been planted.
