Officers in Poole are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a burglary in the Broadstone area.
The burglary took place between 12.30pm on Saturday 19 July and 7.00am on Monday 21 July 2014, on the building site of a KFC outlet at the Wessex Gate Retail Park in Poole.
It is believed the offenders entered the site by climbing over a brick wall. Once inside, the burglars took a number of building, carpentry and tiling tools. Some of the items included a petrol generator, extension cables, tile cutters and drills. Many of the items were marked with the company name, Adams Joinery, in black marker or laser marked with the company name, Dave White Contractors.
PC Luke Davis said: “I am now able to release images of some of the items stolen. I would urge anyone who has seen suspicious activity in the area around the KFC building site at the Wessex Gate Retail Park to contact Dorset Police in confidence.
“I am particularly keen to speak with anyone who has been offered tools or building equipment in suspicious circumstances or for an unusually low price since Saturday 19 July 2014.”
“I am also keen to speak with anyone who may have seen two men on mountain bikes cycling around the site between 4.30pm and 5.30pm on Monday 21 July 2014, or a man and woman driving around the site in a white Astra van, between 5.30pm and 7.00pm the same evening.”
Both cyclists are described as white men with tanned complexions, early to mid-twenties, of muscular build and around five feet ten inches tall.
The Astra van driver is described as a white man, between 40 and 55 years old, unshaven and with fair or grey hair covering his ears. The woman sat in the passenger seat and was wearing a white or ivory coloured top. She is described as white with light brown hair, of heavy build and between 40 and 55 years old.
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101, quoting incident number 21:66. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
