Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following an arson attack in Weymouth.
At around 4am on Saturday 2 April, police were called to reports of a car on fire on Hillbourne Playing Field, between Hillbourne Road and Fairview road. The vehicle involved was a black Ford Focus.
Following investigations, it was established that the fire was started deliberately.
Police Community Support Officer Steph Kitton, of Weymouth police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident to please contact Dorset Police on 101.
“I would also urge anyone who knows who is responsible for this fire to please call.”
No arrests have been made.
