Witness appeal following Bournemouth robbery
If you saw this robbery, or have any information, Dorset Police would like you to come forward.
The robbery was reported to have taken place outside in Christchurch Road, Boscombe between 4am and 5am on Wednesday 29 December 2021.
The victim – a Bournemouth man aged in his 20s – reported being punched in the face by two men.
The men walked away and the victim continued to walk toward Pokesdown. As he reached Sainsbury’s, he was grabbed from behind by his rucksack, before being repeatedly punched and kicked while on the floor.
The victim managed to get up and ran away from the scene but sustained bruising and swelling as a result of the incident. His rucksack, which contained his wallet and mobile phone were stolen.
Police Constable Faris Siwadi, of Dorset Police, said: “I am carrying out a full investigation to identify those responsible and have been conducting CCTV trawls of the area.
“I would urge anyone who was in the vicinity and witnessed what happened, or has any information to help my enquiries, to please get in touch.”
