Witnesses sought after fatal collision in Poole
The police would like to speak to the occupants of a car who may have witnessed the collision on Tuesday 21 December.
Dorset Police are keen to speak to the occupants of a car who may have witnessed a fatal collision in Poole just before Christmas.
They were called at 7.13am on Tuesday 21 December to a report of a collision involving a silver KTM motorcycle and a cyclist on Ringwood Road at the junction with Fernside Road outside the Shah of Persia.
Very sadly, the rider of the motorcycle – a local man in his 20s – was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cyclist, a man in his 50s from Poole, was taken to Poole Hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
Police Constable Michael Burt, of the traffic unit, said: “Our thoughts continue to remain with the family and friends of those involved.
“Following enquiries, we have established that a car was travelling directly behind the cyclist at the time of the incident.
“I would urge the occupants of the vehicle to please come forward as they may have witnessed what happened and have important information to help my investigation.
“I am also still keen to hear from any motorists who were travelling in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
