Two people have been arrested following a serious assault at Rockley Park Holiday Park in Poole.
Officers were called to the holiday park in Napier Road at 1.04am yesterday, (8 May), to reports of an assault.
A 64-year-old man from Poole was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment to a serious head injury. He is in a life-threatening condition.
The victim and two people arrested in connection with the incident are known to each other.
Detective Sergeant Andy Haworth of Bournemouth CID, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was staying in the park this weekend and witnessed or heard a disturbance in the Harbour View area to please call me.”
A 34-year-old man from Poole has been arrested on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm with intent and is currently assisting officers with their enquiries.
A 57-year-old woman from Poole was arrested on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm with intent and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries until today, 9 May.
