Witnesses sought to Poole sexual offence
Anyone who was in Cynthia Road in Poole on the evening of Friday 16 September and witnessed this is asked to contact the police.
Dorset police are still keen to hear from witnesses to a sexual offence although it took place more than a month ago.
Just before 8pm on Friday 16 September a 15-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy were walking along Cynthia Road in Poole when they were approached by two unknown men. One of them made verbal threats, demanding that the teenagers get on their knees. The man made further threats and pinned the girl against a wall insisting that she kissed him twice.
The second man is not reported to have committed any offences and at some point questioned the other man’s behaviour.
The teenagers were then able to run away.
The offender is described as of Arabic heritage and in his twenties. He has brown eyes and black hair cut in a fade style. The person accompanying him is described as white, in his late teens, of average height and medium build. He was wearing a grey hooded top.
Police Constable Teighlor-Jade Howard, of Poole police, said: “Understandably, the young people were shaken by this incident, during which they feared for their safety.
“Following further enquiries, I am now in a position to make a public appeal.
“I know the offence happened a while ago, but due to the unusual nature of what happened I am hoping that any witnesses will still remember what they may have seen. I would urge them to come forward and contact us.
“Also, I would like to hear from anyone who may have information about the offender as this could help with my investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk/contact or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55220152060. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
