Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a local woman was robbed yesterday (23 September) on Ducking Stool Lane near The Olde George Inn on Millhams Street, Christchurch.
The victim was approached from behind at around 12.40pm by an unknown man who pushed her to the ground and made off with a bag containing a quantity of cash. She was not injured in the attack.
Detective Inspector Steve Thorpe, of Dorset Police’s CID, said: “The victim has been left extremely shaken by this ordeal.
“I am appealing for witnesses and anyone who may have seen this robbery take place, or has information about the person responsible to call Dorset Police in confidence.”
The offender is described as a white man, of medium build and around five feet six inches tall. He was wearing a white top with the hood pulled up over his head.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Dorset Police on the non-emergency number 101.
No arrests have been made.
