Woman loses sight in one eye following attack in Bournemouth
A number of people were around at the time and Dorset Police are hoping they will come forward as witnesses.
A woman in her 30s has now lost the sight in one eye following an assault in Bournemouth.
Dorset Police are renewing their appeal for information about the incident which took place at around 1.40pm on Saturday 24 September.
A woman had been found with a facial injury in Richmond Gardens car park following an assault by a man who was known to her. She was taken to hospital.
Following enquiries by detectives from Bournemouth CID, a 33-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm. He has been released on police bail as the investigation continues.
Detective Constable Philip Riggs, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are still conducting enquiries into this matter and from our investigation we believe there were a number of people at the scene who we have not spoken to yet as potential witnesses. I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please make contact with us.
“I would also ask anyone with further information regarding this incident to please get in touch.”
