Women seriously injured and man arrested following Bournemouth collision
If you were in Christchurch Road on New Year’s Day and witnessed this collision or have dashcam footage contact the police.
A Christchurch woman in her 80s sustained potentially life-threatening injuries in a collision on New Year’s Day in Bournemouth.
The incident, which involved a red Ford Focus and a black Honda Civic, happened on Christchurch Road at the junction with Crabton Close Road at 3.49pm on Sunday 1 January.
Subsequently, a 36-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and released under investigation.
Police Constable Mark Palmer, of the traffic unit, said: “I am appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police to please come forward.
“Also, I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the manner of driving of either vehicle leading up to the collision.
“In addition, I would urge any motorists who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage to please get in touch.”
