Works to begin on West Parley Community Hub
After years of neglect, West Parley Parish Council has secured funding to completely redevelop and refurbish a community building.

West Parley Parish Council has announced that works on the West Parley Community Hub will commence on 23 June.
After years of neglect, the parish council has secured the funding for a complete redevelopment and refurbishment of the entire building on 275 Christchurch Road in Ferndown, at no additional cost to residents of West Parley.
It was reported in December that the parish council intends to use the repaired building to provide a much-needed community space with a number of rooms for use by the parish council, affiliated sports sections, charity pre-school and other community users.
The parish council said it understands the importance of a community provision, and by undertaking this project it will protect this facility for many years to come, for all ages, both socially and physically.
A spokesperson for West Parley Parish Council said: “In a time when so many community facilities are closing or under pressure, it has been a fantastic effort by all concerned for the works to begin.
“The parish council want to provide a fantastic facility for all its current users, and we look forward to welcoming new user groups to the Community Hub.
“The parish council would like to thank everyone that has helped get us to this point, especially to Westmade Construction, Spase architects Spase architects, Veolia Environmental Trust and ECO Sustainable Solutions.
West Parley Parish Council aims for the project to be completed by early October this year, and intends to keep residents updated on the progress of the project.
