Young actors to appear with Bournemouth & Boscombe Light Opera Company
Dylan, Max and Josh are to take the role of Pugsley’s Ancestors in The Addams Family musical from 28 October.
A young actor from Wimborne, Dylan Carver, 11, together with two from Bournemouth, Max Castle, 12, and Josh Hope, 9, are to appear in a production of The Addams Family musical with BBLOC (Bournemouth & Boscombe Light Opera Company) at the Pavilion Theatre in Bournemouth.
The three youngsters, who attend Stagewise Performing Arts auditioned to land the roles of ‘Pugsley’s Ancestors’ in the four-night run which opens on Friday 28 October.
“Max, Dylan and Josh love being on stage and I know their fantastic characters will be perfect for this wonderful comedy musical,” says Stagewise principal, Ally Cox. “The boys have worked really hard at rehearsals and it’s going to be a great experience for them to perform alongside adult actors on the big stage of the Pavilion. I’m also excited to see Alfie Fitzpatrick, who trains with me at LeAF Studio School, in the role of Pugsley.”
The Addams Family musical, from the writers of the award-winning smash hit Jersey Boys, tells the story of everyone’s favourite spooky and kooky family – Gomez, Morticia, Grandma, Fester, Wednesday, Pugsley and Lurch. The characters were originally made famous in the cartoons of Charles Addams during the 1930s, and have featured in numerous television and movie spin-offs.
