Young people aged from 14 to 18 are wanted to help with children’s Summer Art Weeks in East Dorset during the summer holidays.
The young volunteers are needed to assist younger children with craft work, take registers and help artists with tea breaks. Helpers are also required to take money at the door, clear up at the end of the day and provide drinks for children and artists.
Tracy Cooper, culture manager at East Dorset District Council, said: “Most importantly we need keen and enthusiastic helpers who can be a useful extra pair of hands and eyes to assist Art Week staff. This could be a great way for teenagers to gain experience working within a friendly team and to work with children in the arts or sports which will enhance their CVs for future employment.”
“Experience is not necessary but maybe you have a first aid qualification or sports coaching award for example which will be a great asset. But most of all we are looking for enthusiasm and a desire to be helpful.”
Volunteers are needed at:

• Allendale Community Centre, Wimborne: 11 – 13 August, 10am – 4pm over 3 days
