Families flocked to Potterne Park to enjoy a popular day out on August Bank Holiday Monday.

Firefighters from across the region and beyond were called to fires breaking out on heathland across the county.

Christchurch Priory, Bridport Clock Tower, Corfe Castle, Glastonbury Tor, Weymouth Pavilion and Wookey Hole which will all be illuminated.

The incident took place at Branksome Dean Chine car park in Pinewood Road, and police are seeking witnesses.

Dorset Police are hoping that the moped rider will come forward in addition to any witnesses or people with dashcam footage.
