Be cool – go to Christchurch River Pageant
Christchurch River Pageant takes place this Saturday 16 August and there are plenty of places along the route to watch it.
If you want to find the coolest place to be around – in every sense of the word – head to Christchurch River Pageant this Saturday 16 August.
Due to the prolonged heatwave, organisers are anticipating big crowds to watch the river parade.
Good places to watch the parade are along the Tuckton riverbank, with parking at Riverlands car park and on the Quomps, with parking at Mayors Mead car park.
This year’s boat parade starts at 12 noon from Tuckton Tea Gardens and travels down the river to Christchurch Quay passing by Willow Way Marina, Captains Club Hotel, Wick Ferry pontoon, Christchurch Rowing Club, Mayors Mead public slipway, the Children’s Splashzone and the Quomps riverbank.
You can find further details on how to register and join the river parade or make a donation to our three local charities via the Just Giving page on: christchurchrotary.org.uk/christchurch-river-pageant/ or via facebook.com/profile.php?id=61573947596615.
