Bournemouth BMX Club receives Hendy Foundation grant
Organisations like the Bournemouth BMX Club which would like to be considered for a grant can apply during March.
The Bournemouth BMX Club is to receive a grant from the Hendy Foundation.
This will enable it to expand its ladies only BMXercise classes with the money to be used to provide five new BMX bikes and helmets for class members to borrow.
In all the foundation has supported eight individual charities or organisations in its latest round of funding and the grant window is open throughout March for the next round of applications. These can be made by completing the grant request form at https://www.hendyfoundation.org/.
Hendy Foundation chairman Rebecca Hardy said, “We have been overwhelmed with the number of applications and it was incredibly difficult for the trustees to narrow down our awards but we hope that these grants will have a positive impact on as many deserving causes as possible.”
The successful recipients come from across the south coast with applications open to those helping people in the areas in which the Hendy Group operates, from Devon to Dorset and right through to Kent.
Rebecca added, “We are delighted that Hendy Foundation has been able to provide grants for such a wide range of charities and activities and we look forward to working closely with the charities in the future.
“Almost all of the current recipients have had to change they way in which they operated since the outbreak of COVID-19 and we are pleased to be able to help in any way to ensure their vital services can still help people in their local communities.”
