Bournemouth nursery plant sale and autumn fayre this weekend

Cherry Tree Nursery in Bournemouth is set to host a plant sale and autumn fayre on Saturday 19 September with plenty of bargains on offer.

Cherry Tree’s plant sale and autumn fayre will take place from 9am to 3pm this Saturday. The Northbourne-based nursery promises to have a selection of specially discounted plants to get the autumn gardening season off to a flying start.

As well as bargain-price plants, Cherry Tree will host stalls selling a wide range of products from little luxuries to metalwork, honey and crafts.

Admin and events coordinator, Ray Alderton, said: “Don’t miss out on our raffle, because we have some fantastic prizes up for grabs this year.

“Prizes include £100 Plants and Minds vouchers, £50 Hall and Woodhouse Gift card, Knoll Gardens admission ticket, Farmer Palmer’s Family entry ticket, tickets to the Pantomime at the Lighthouse, Poole and much more. Tickets are available to purchase in our shop prior to the event and on the day.”

Inspiration for fans of wildlife-friendly gardening will be found at the Butterfly Conservation Trust and Dorset Wildlife Trust exhibiting in the community stalls area. The Dorset Family History Society will also have a stall.

Refreshments from the Tea Room will include tea, coffee and home-made cakes, while Cherry Tree will also host a barbeque provided by Westbourne Rotary. Live music throughout the day will keep the event in full swing.

All proceeds from plant sales provide vital income for Plants and Minds, the mental health charity that supports adults with life-impacting mental health conditions, enhancing wellbeing via therapeutic horticulture.
