Partnering up with the Upside Down House, an attraction that allows people to walk on the ceiling or effortlessly do a handstand, the Bournemouth Town Centre BID is aiming to generate new growth opportunities for local businesses.
The Upside Down House is the first inverted home to be launched in the UK and is expected to draw an influx of visitors, locals and tourists to the area. It will operate from 10 November 2018 to the 30 June 2019 – and tickets can be purchased on the door.
Forming a bridge between the organisers of the Upside Down House and the local business community, the Town Centre BID is creating opportunities for both promotion and sponsorship.
Benefiting the whole area, the partnership will also give businesses in The Triangle a chance to connect over social media, be featured in competitions and join in with events associated with the unique attraction.
The Upside Down House already features products from the local area, all turned topsy-turvy to capture the imagination of those who step inside. Enhancing the feel of the area and to mark the launch of the new attraction, both the Upside Down House and Town Centre BID are encouraging local businesses to create their own eye-catching upside-down window displays.
Martin Davies, Town Centre BID Chairman, said, “The new and peculiar attraction is set to increase footfall to the area and complement The Triangle’s cornucopia of interesting cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. By working together and connecting the attraction with local businesses, we can ensure the whole area benefits from its arrival.”
Tom Dirse, CEO of the Upside Down House, said, “We’re excited to have brought the first Upside Down House to the UK and are pleased to be partnering up with the Bournemouth Town Centre BID. Working with the business community we can collectively encourage more visits and raise awareness for the fantastic array of businesses in The Triangle.
