The boys usually attend Oakhurst First School, which is currently closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. They aimed to raise £500 for Dorset Mind by riding their BMX bikes over a challenging distance during their daily exercise.

It all came about when seven-year-old Layton Harding who rides for Team Mind BMX, was approached to take part in the Team Mind and Bournemouth BMX challenge to ride 2.6 miles. But he and his brother Hadley planned to ride much farther by completing 260 miles over four weeks accompanied by their Dad, Gary.

They still have until 25 May to complete their 260 miles and donations are more than welcome to boost funds further. Although already victorious, more donations will help them cross the ‘finish’ line in style for Dorset Mind.
