Officers from North Dorset are appealing for anyone with information to come forward after thieves burgled a garage in the town.
The incident, in which a garage at premises along Pitts Orchard was broken into and bicycles went missing, happened overnight of Sunday 24 and Monday 25 March 2013 between 10.30pm and 2am.
Offenders stole two carbon road bikes worth £3000 – a red and white Pinarello Dogma which did not have any pedals and a black Willier Mortirolo.
Police Constable Stuart Beasley, of Blandford police, said: “It is believed that the offenders used a pathway that runs alongside the house to gain access – this path leads to the British Legion car park.
“I urge anyone who recalls any suspicious activity in the area of Pitts Orchard and Bath Road during the time of the burglary to contact the police as soon as possible.
“If you have been offered either of these items at a lower than normal price or think you have seen them – please speak to us.
“All calls are treated in the strictest confidence.”
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 25:33. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
