Following an assault on a 62-year-old local man on 13 June, police in Bournemouth have released CCTV images of a suspect they want to speak to.
The victim was travelling on his moped along Southbourne Grove at around 1pm when a man cycled across his path at a pedestrian crossing that was on green for motorists. No contact was made between the moped and bicycle.
The moped rider then turned into Grand Avenue to find a place to park. At this point he noticed the cyclist coming towards him. The cyclist punched him in the face a number of times, which caused him to fall over. The cyclist then got on top of the victim and attempted to punch him again before cycling off.
The victim was left with a bloody nose, cuts and bruises. He did not require hospital treatment.
Police Constable Lee Mather, of Bournemouth police, said: “I am releasing a CCTV image of the suspect in the hope that someone can identify him.
“If you know who this person is please contact police, or Crimestoppers anonymously.”
