Every year, Bournemouth aims to put on a range of Christmas attractions that can be enjoyed by visitors of all ages. This year, the town’s decorations feature more than one hundred illuminated Christmas Trees, many of them representing a different country, making a spectacular Wonderland Trail leading from the seafront through the Gardens to the Square, Triangle & Lansdowne.
Now Bournemouth businesses can add to the town’s tree theme. Bournemouth Town Centre BID, one of the key partners in Bournemouth’s seasonal celebrations, is inviting local companies to take part in a fun festive competition by ‘branching’ out to create a unique Christmas Tree out of their products.
They are hoping companies will come up with some unusual and inventive ideas: examples, so far, include Laceys Solicitors who are making their tree out of law books whilst Westover Gallery is fashioning theirs from picture frames.
Paul Kinvig, Chief Operating Officer of the Town Centre BID, said, “Bournemouth is already looking marvellously festive with its stunning and magical Christmas Tree Wonderland. We thought this competition would be a fun way for local companies to get even more involved in the celebrations. It also presents them with a really unique and innovative way to showcase their business, allowing the general public to see them in a whole new light.”
The competition is open to Bournemouth Town Centre BID levy payers across all industry sectors. To enter, companies need to create a Christmas Tree out of items that are relevant to them, put it on display in their shop window, office, restaurant, or anywhere where it can be seen by staff and/or clients, and then notify the Town Centre BID on info@towncentrebid.co.uk.
Entries will be judged by an independent panel during the week commencing 17th December. The winning company will receive vouchers worth £250.00 to spend in the Town Centre BID levy paying business of their choice.
