Dorset View publisher reveals its Charity of the Year for 2026
Pulford Publicity, publisher of Dorset View and Viewpoint Magazine, has announced Julia’s House as its 2026 Charity of the Year.
Each year, Pulford Publicity — publisher of this website, Dorset View, Viewpoint Magazine, and the Mudeford Mags — chooses a local charity to support with free editorial space.
The company’s Charity of the Year for 2026 has now been revealed as: Julia’s House. This children’s hospice supports families of seriously ill children in Dorset and Wiltshire, providing respite care and emotional support. Visit juliashouse.org to learn more about this vital charity.
Martin Edwards, CEO of Julia’s House, said: “We’re absolutely delighted and incredibly grateful to Dorset View for choosing Julia’s House as their Charity of the Year. As your local children’s hospice, we support families across Dorset and Wiltshire who are caring for children with life-limiting and complex conditions, and this partnership will help shine a light on their stories and the care they need.
“We’re also really pleased to be sharing regular news updates in the magazine each issue, and giving readers an insight into how our amazing nurses and carers bring expert clinical care, compassion, fun and respite to local families when they need it most. We’re very much looking forward to working together throughout the year.”
Last year’s Charity of the Year was the Dorset Cancer Care Foundation. Throughout 2025, the charity received free editorial spaces in Pulford Publicity magazines to raise awareness of its services and promote upcoming events and fundraising activities.
In her final column of 2025, Eve Went, co-founder of the Dorset Cancer Care Foundation, said: “We look back with huge gratitude on some of the amazing fundraising events undertaken for us so far this year, all of which have helped local families in need.
“Many of these amazing people have been featured in Dorset View in the past year, and the charity is immensely grateful to editor Luke Graham and [the Pulford Publicity] team for giving us this opportunity to raise awareness of our work.”

On 14 December, as part of the Christchurch Living Advent Calendar, the managing director of Pulford Publicity, Ben Pulford, presented a cheque to the Dorset Cancer Care Foundation for the value of £650.
Ben said: “Dorset Cancer Care Foundation was our Charity of the Year for 2025, so this was a perfect opportunity for our company to get involved and make a donation to round off our year of support.”
Emily Griffiths, charity manager of Dorset Cancer Care Foundation who received the cheque, praised Pulford Publicity, calling their support “amazing”.
