If you fancy flexing your muscles for charity, then the Dorset Plane Pull on August 26 in aid of Lewis-Manning Hospice in Poole, might just be ultimate challenge.
Lewis-Manning, who offer free specialist palliative nursing care to around 650 local people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, is looking for teams of up to 20 people to attempt to pull a Boeing 737 weighing in at 35,000kg a distance of 50 metres at Bournemouth Airport.
Organised by Richard Griffin, Peter and Kyrie Feltham this will be the 5th Dorset Plane Pull and it is sure to be a fantastic event. Since the Dorset Plane Pull’s inception in 2009 the event has successfully raised over £30,000 for a variety of local charities.
You don’t have to pull to enjoy the event, watching is just as much fun as taking part. The day plays host to a number of other activities including BBQ, stalls, live entertainment and even something for the younger spectators.
If you think you have what it takes and fancy something a bit different, get a few mates together and enter as a team. For more information and to register please contact Maria Tidy at Lewis-Manning Hospice maria@lewis-manning.co.uk or call 01202 708470.
