The walks are cost free and finish with complimentary tea and cake at the Hiker Café.
They are led by Amanda Jones, a nature, and forest therapist at Nature Connection, who said: “Walking into Wellness is all about bringing people together, giving them that much needed break from the challenging aspects of their jobs.
“Carers have a huge amount of responsibility and at times it can be a very stressful job, we don’t always treat ourselves to the self care we need. Hengistbury Head is the perfect place to gently connect with nature and clear your head, giving you time to stroll and observe what’s around you.
“Our aim is to give carers the time they need to reconnect with themselves and with nature. And to make new connections, support networks are so important for all of us. We’ve had some amazing feedback from the first few walks of the season, and we cannot wait to meet more carers over the coming weeks.”
If you are a carer, or know a carer that would enjoy Walking into Wellness, contact Amanda at natureconnectiondorset@gmail.com for more details and to book your space. Upcoming Walking into Wellness dates are 27 July, 17 and 31 August, and 14 and 28 September, for future dates throughout this year and next, email Amanda or follow Nature Connection Dorset on Facebook or Instagram.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id=”sidebar_4″][ultimate_spacer height=”20″]
