There is a lot of fun to be had in the town of Wimborne Minster on Saturday 18 September.
The Walking 900+ Adventure Fun Day will take place on the Minster Green on Saturday 18 September from 10am until 4pm. The event was originally to have been held on Saturday 10 July but was postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions.
The highlights of the day include a climbing wall and a Teddy Bear Zip Dip – bring your own teddy, soft toy or ‘zip’ one of the stunt teddies which will be available. The Minster Bell Tower will be open for conducted tours. There will be a number of charity stalls, some raising money for the Minster and others like Wimborne in Bloom, The Children’s Society and the Friends of Victoria Hospital raising money for their own good cause. The Dorset Youth Marching Band will put on a display and refreshments will be available.
The Mayor of Wimborne Minster Cllr Mrs Kelly Webb accompanied by the deputy town crier Mel Gudger and piper Richard Rowland will open the day at 10.15am.
