Girl hospitalised after hit-and-run collision in Bournemouth
The driver failed to stop at the scene after their car hit a 17-year-old girl in Redhill Avenue on Thursday 5 February.
A teenage girl ended up in hospital after being hit by a car in Redhill Avenue, Bournemouth on Thursday 5 February.
At around 7.45pm, there was a collision involving the pedestrian and a silver car. It is reported that the driver failed to stop at the scene.
The pedestrian, a 17-year-old girl, attended hospital after the collision. Fortunately, she had only suffered minor injuries.
Dorset Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage who may have seen the fail-to-stop collision.
Police Constable Rhianna Sly, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “Thankfully, the pedestrian in this incident was not seriously injured.
“We are carrying out enquiries into this collision, and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened or was travelling with a dashcam that may have captured relevant footage, to please get in touch.
“I am also appealing to the driver of the vehicle to do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
