Hot cross buns were discovered hanging from the trees in Pamphill on Good Friday to the delight of youngsters who had walked to the green from Wimborne.
A tradition has grown up over the last 40 years that following the three hour service in the Minster on Good Friday, members of Wimborne Minster Sunday School and their friends walk from the church through the Cuthbury Allotments, alongside the River Stour, and up Vine Hill to the green where they find ‘hot cross buns’ growing on the bushes.
