Join in and bee a 'busy bees' at Priest's House Museum in Wimborne

The Priest’s House Museum & Garden in Wimborne is holding a ‘Busy Bees’ family activity day on Tuesday 30 May from 10am to 2pm.

Children can make a bee garden using paper plates and sunflower designs, and a fashionable bee headband. They will be able to experiment with honeycomb printing and create a bee-inspired bag to carry all their creations home in.

In the Victorian kitchen, volunteers will be creating some interesting drinks made using honey, while a bee trail will take visitors into the museum’s walled garden.

A beekeeper will be on hand for visitors to discover more about the friendly, industrious garden visitors, and people will be challenged to find the ‘queen’ bee in the virtual beehive.

The museum’s new exhibition, ‘How Does Your Garden Grow?’, will be open, appealing to green-fingered visitors of all ages.

Meanwhile, the Garden Tea Room will be serving light savoury snacks, cakes, cream teas and drinks. Admission is £1.75 per person (annual ticket not valid), which includes entrance to the museum and garden.
