Kyle to document 630-mile charity walk
Kyle Reynolds aims to follow the Southwest Coast Path to Land's End before continuing north to Minehead in one month.
Starting in Poole, Kyle Reynolds will follow the Southwest Coast Path to Land’s End before continuing north to Minehead to raise awareness for mental health. Taking just a month, he aims to average around 20 miles per day, facing challenging terrain, unpredictable autumn weather and the physical demands of long-distance hiking.
Throughout the journey, Kyle will be filming a documentary exploring the relationship between walking, hiking and mental health. The film will combine his personal story with the experiences of others, highlighting how spending time outdoors can support emotional wellbeing, build resilience and help people reconnect with themselves and their communities.
Friends, family members and special guests will be invited to join sections of the route, helping to showcase the power of connection, conversation and shared experiences in nature.
The challenge will also raise funds for Beder, a UK mental health charity that provides access to therapy and support for individuals who may otherwise struggle to receive help. Kyle aims to raise £5,000 before setting off on the adventure.
While he plans to wild camp for much of the journey, essential safety measures — including vehicle support and logistics planning — will be in place throughout the expedition. Donations can be made via Kyle’s fundraising page: https://www.givengain.com/project/kyle-raising-funds-for-beder-104558.
