Man arrested following Bournemouth hit and run
A pedestrian received serious leg injuries following the collision in Pokesdown and police are appealing for dashcam footage.
The driver of a silver Jaguar X-Type failed to stop after a collision with a pedestrian at around 12.40pm on Friday 6 December on Christchurch Road near to the junction with Parkwood Road in Pokesdown.
The pedestrian – a local man in his 50s – sustained serious injuries to his leg.
Following enquiries, a 48-year-old man from East Dorset was arrested on suspicion of driving offences. He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Police Constable David Carmichael, of Bournemouth police, said: “I understand there were a number of people in the area at the time who would have seen what happened and I am appealing to them to please get in touch.
“Also, I am keen to speak to anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
