Man arrested following report of Boscombe sexual assault
Police would like to talk to any witnesses particularly a man who was walking his dog in the Ashley Road area on Saturday 30 November.
A woman was reportedly sexually assaulted in Boscombe at the weekend, with a man subsequently arrested.
Dorset Police received a report at 7.18am on Saturday 30 November raising concern for the welfare of a woman in Christchurch Road near to the junction with Ashley Road.
Officers attended and it was subsequently reported that the woman had been sexually assaulted in the area shortly after 7am.
Following fast-time enquiries in the area by patrol officers, a man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the incident.
Detective Inspector Darren Moores, of BCP CID, said: “We are conducting enquiries into this incident as we seek to establish the full circumstances of what happened, and we are appealing for any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.
“In particular, from our enquiries we understand a man was seen walking his dog in the area around the relevant time and we would be keen to speak to this individual as a witness, as they may have information to assist our enquiries.
“A cordon was put in place as enquiries were conducted at the scene and there will be an increased policing presence in the area. Officers can be approached by members of the public with any information or concerns.
“Specialist officers are also continuing to support the victim.”
