Midlife MOT for Dorset employees
Employees aged over 45 will have the chance to have a ‘Midlife MOT’ thanks to a programme from Dorset LEP.
Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is asking businesses with employees aged 45 plus to volunteer to take part in an innovative new government backed ‘Midlife MOT’ programme.
The Midlife MOT offers opportunities for employers to access a free bespoke toolkit, helping them to review finances and staff’s personal health and skills.
Dorset businesses who sign-up to take part will be given access to a digital resource pack enabling them to promote the initiative to their midlife workforce. The online resources include links to comprehensive support and advice from well-respected organisations.
Lorna Carver, Dorset LEP director, said: “Our programme is taking place throughout April and early May. We’re looking for proactive Dorset businesses who appreciate how important it is to look after their employees to help us test out the Midlife MOT philosophy and toolkit.”
In addition to the toolkit, a series of webinars and podcasts are being offered by Dorset LEP during the week beginning Monday 19th April. Expert guests will be sharing their thoughts on the challenges of midlife and how employers can help.
Dorset LEP is working with the following partners to provide the Midlife MOT programme: The Money and Pensions Service, Dorset Mind, LiveWell Dorset and Active Dorset.
