Motorcyclist injured in Poole hit and run
Dorset Police are seeking witnesses to this collision in which a dark grey vehicle collided with a motorcyclist along Dorset Way.
A motorist left the scene of a collision in Poole without giving their details or checking the condition of the motorcyclist they had knocked down.
At around 11.45am on Tuesday 2 November a man was riding his white Keeway motorcycle along the eastbound carriageway of the Dorset Way toward Bournemouth and had approached the Tower Park Roundabout by the Ford garage, when he was reportedly knocked from his bike by a dark grey coloured vehicle.
The rider of the motorcycle – a local man in his 30s – sustained minor injuries and was taken to Poole Hospital for a check-up.
Police Constable Tracey Downer, of the traffic unit, said: “The driver of the vehicle involved in this collision stopped temporarily at the roundabout so we know they would have been aware of the collision.
“I am appealing to anyone who was driving along Dorset Way or Old Wareham Road toward the Tower Park Roundabout at the relevant time and may have captured the offending vehicle on dashcam to please contact Dorset Police.
“I would also urge any witnesses to this collision who have not yet spoken to police to please get in touch.”
