Bold plans have been approved by Dorset Council for a new SEND facility to be created at St Mary’s School in Shaftesbury, which was formerly a private school.
A number of local companies will be available to talk to young people and parents at the event on Thursday 20 May.
The awards from Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership will enable the schools to support pupils with careers education.
Having received their Parley Pooches, the First School pupils took part in a writing competition with the stories going to Poole Hospital.
