If you love farming, livestock and animals looking their finest, the Gillingham & Shaftesbury Show is not to be missed.

It’s Dorset versus Wiltshire at the annual agriculture show taking place on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 August.

The Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show, an annual celebration of rural life, will return on 13 and 14 August.

Dorset Council-run car parks in a number of towns in the county will be free on 30 November, 7 December and 20 December.

Tickets are still available on the gate for the second day of the annual rural show held at the Turnpike Showground in Motcombe.

Visitors to the upcoming Gillingham & Shaftesbury Show are being alerted to last-minute emergency road closures taking place in the area.

On 14 August, the show will be open in the evening for music and drinks with a licensed bar and pop-up street food vendors.
