Road collision causes serious injury in Poole
Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage following the collision on 15 May in Wallisdown.
A motorcyclist received very serious injuries in a three vehicle collision on Wallisdown Road on Thursday 15 May.
Dorset Police received a report at 11.23am of a collision near to the junction with Canford Avenue, involving a black Kawasaki motorcycle, a white Ford Fiesta and a brown Land Rover Defender.
Emergency services attended and the rider of the motorcycle – a man in his 50s – was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are believed to be life-threatening. His family has been informed.
Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances of this collision and I would urge any witnesses to please contact us.
“In particular, I am keen to speak to a pedestrian who was believed to be crossing at the pedestrian crossing near to the junction with Canford Avenue on Wallisdown Road at the time of the collision.
“I would also urge any motorists who were in the vicinity to please review any dashcam footage for anything that might assist our enquiries.
“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closures.”
