Robin Hood coming to Colehill
The Sheriff of Nottingham, Maid Marian and Robin Hood will all be on stage in Colehill for one weekend in February.
Co.MaD (Colehill Music and Drama) are to stage Robin Hood at Colehill Village/Memorial Hall in February.
That wicked Sheriff of Nottingham is up to his old tricks again. Robin Hood must gather his wits and his friends to save sweet Maid Marian from the Sheriff’s mercenary clutches, with help from Robin’s mother, Dame Flatbread, and his brother, Silly Billy. Will King Richard return in time to see the Sheriff caught and facing justice?
A spokesman from Co.MaD said: “Panto is a wonderful introduction to live theatre for children (and sometimes for parents), and appeals to their imagination with its characters, perils, brave deeds, beautiful costumes and inspiring scenery. This is an entertainment for all the family, and a good community cause to support in the process.”
As always with Co.MaD, a donation will be made to a local project or organisation from the proceeds, this year’s recipients being Going for Bust and also the local Scouts and Guides, who will be providing refreshments.
It is being staged on Friday 11 February, 7.30pm, Saturday 12 February at 2.30pm and 7.30pm and on Sunday 13 February at 2.30pm. Tickets: adult £7, child (up to 16) £5; available from 01202 886303.
