Santa Fun Run raises £1,330 for Julia’s House
The fun run was organised by Wimborne Rotary, and a cheque has been presented to Amanda Gillett, community fundraiser for the hospice.
More than 100 people donned Santa outfits and took part in a fun run last December raising £1,330 for Julia’s House Children’s Hospice.
It was organised by Wimborne Rotary and at its recent lunchtime meeting, Amanda Gillett, community fundraiser for the hospice spoke about the work of Julia’s House after which she was presented with a cheque for £1,330 by Wimborne Rotary president Ron Franks.
Rotarian Neil Hutchinson who organised the run said: “We were almost overwhelmed by the support of local runners and that coupled with the facilities at Wimborne Town Football Club, resulted in this fantastic result for Julia’s House.”
