Santa Slide to raise funds for Dementia Support
Raise money and zip wire high above Bournemouth beach while dressed as Santa, delivering support for those living with dementia.
A charity event aims to see a squadron of Santa Clauses flying across Bournemouth Beach this festive season. The PierZip runs from the top of the pier all the way down to the beach, with riders dangling over the open sea, flying over the waves, with a great view of the Dorset coast.
The event is in aid of Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW, and anyone aged over 8 can take part, with no maximum age, subject to weight and height conditions. Sliders can sign up individually, or as a team with registration costing £20.
That pays for the zip wire ride and Santa suit. The organisers suggest a minimum sponsorship target of £150. Find out more here, spaces are limited, so sign up fast.
The event takes place on Sunday 6 December, promising fun, exhilaration and fundraising. The charity runs support groups in Ringwood, New Milton and Lymington and further afield.
