Getting support from the Advice Team at Diverse Abilities
Who are the Advice Team?
The team offer help and support to anyone who is struggling with claiming disability benefits, challenging a DWP decision or looking to create a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA).
What can we help you with?
We will help with completing paperwork, sourcing evidence, drafting and submitting of appeals and also provide representation at tribunals.
This includes Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), Carers Allowance (CA), Child Disability Living Allowance (DLA), Blue Badge and Personal Independence Payments (PIP).
We support people with all types of disabilities and health conditions of all ages, including children, their families and carers. As well as benefit advice, we also provide a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) service to help families and individuals to decide whether an LPA is right for them.
How does it work?
The aim of the service is to ensure you have the assistance you need to secure the benefits you are entitled to, or the Lasting Power of Attorney document you require.
We promise we will make your life a little easier by helping you to understand what is needed in order to complete benefit applications and submit appeals. You’ll receive guidance and support throughout the process to ensure that your documents suit your needs.
Our team is not-for-profit and does need to charge a small fee for the services we provide, however, you will find our services for LPAs considerably cheaper than other professionals in the area. We also provided free appointments for those in financial hardships.
We have been successfully providing advice and representation for 15 years and can help you too. We also work with our trusted partners Rutters Solicitors, to provide help and advice on deputyships, wills and wills with trusts for vulnerable persons.
