“The day went very well, it was a just like an old fashioned village fete. There was a really nice atmosphere with plenty of people milling around,” said Vicky Beckett, Assistant to Sturts Farm Management Group. “We would like to thank all the volunteers who helped make it such a success.”
Held at the Camphill Community on the outskirts of West Moors, Dorset on 6 September, the summer fete raised £3,359.98, which will go towards educational equipment for Sturts Farm’s lifelong learning centre. The 90 acre working organic biodynamic farm has for well over 30 years, been offering land-based work opportunities, individualised support and supported living for adults who have a learning disability.
