Blue Flags have been awarded to beaches across the conurbation of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole for yet another year.

Across the conurbation, a variety of events are running from Saturday 3 May until Sunday 11 May to celebrate Victory in Europe (VE) Day.

With 40 per cent of the population in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole aged over 50, Bournemouth Town Centre BID has launched this new scheme.

People concerned about bus services from Bournemouth town centre are invited to take part in a consultation process.

Opened in Boscombe’s Kings Park Leisure and Learning Centre, it will offer facilities for children aged 18 months to 12 years.

Residents in Bournemouth and Poole will have the chance to share their views on the establishment of parish and town councils.

Works starts on 31 March to construct new walking and cycling paths, crossings and street lighting improvements.

Dorset Police, together with local councils, the fire service and Business Improvement Districts, are working together to keep the county safe.

Poole BID has commissioned a new mural by a local artist to give a stunning makeover to the underpass by Poole Bus Station.

The blue plaque which commemorates the town’s contribution to Operation Overlord has been replaced at Customs House.
