The grant of £247,000 from the Department for Transport’s Capability Fund will be used to provide an additional ‘Bike it’ Officer.
Organisations have until 24 September to apply for funding of up to £10,000 for youth projects which make a difference.

Several local youth organisations are to receive grants to enable them to recover following pandemic lockdowns.
The areas to benefit are Hengistbury Head, Tuckton, Pokesdown, Boscombe, Southbourne, East Cliff, Pier Approach, West Cliff and Westbourne.
Many organisations in Dorset have been unable to operate during the pandemic and this is the chance to obtain some funding.
This week a number of projects in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are to receive a share of £700,000 funding.
